JUNIOR COUNTRY PLAYERS (submitted by Dixie MacDonald)

Wakefield Junior Country Player is underway once again for term 2 and term 3 of this year. We have a group of 23 keen young performers from Wakefield, Brightwater and Tapawera. This group is made predominantly of females but we are still holding on to our 6 precious boys. So far we have been exploring our use of voice and how we can adjust it for different characters and situations. We have worked individually as well as in small groups to present characters. As usual there are games, much noise and heaps of running around. I am constantly amazed at the growing confidence and willingness of the group to try new things.

Where to for term three? I am unsure, but it is likely to involve a presentation to the parents if not other members of our community.
