Interested in learning to fly a model Plane or Helicopter but not sure?
There are several options available but the quickest and most effective method
is to arrange a trial flight.
During a trial flight you are supplied with a full function radio and a 40 size
airplane to fly. However your transmitter (radio) is connected to a second
transmitter held by an instructor. This means that while you get to try flying
in your own right, should things become pear shaped (as they do) the instructor
takes control of the plane, corrects the problem, explains the cause and then
you get to carry on flying. This saves a lot of time and increases confidence.
Training can be done in either mode one or mode two, it's your choice.
We can also help sort any problems you may have learning or setting up a new plane. Now we're not claiming to be experts but remember "two sheep's heads are better than one."
Most common problems for new flyers learning on their own revolve around planes not flying true or, more commonly with new electric planes off the internet, problems with batteries giving up the ghost after only a couple of charges. Come along, let us discuss such issues.
During instruction we can also discuss safety, rules for flying and where you
can and can't fly models of different types.
Remember, we are flying on a real airport so naturally there are one or two
rules which can never be broken.
