treesYet again ..another Invers Big game and another ...will it, wont it happen weekend..For what ever reasons..Invers seems to be doomed for getting paint on time without problems. Either way , with a few phone calls and biting the bullet it happened.

Saturday morning came early for the Bman. Sun shining through the trees as I headed down my driveway. Now for me its a journey of history. Ive headed down to Invers for over 10yrs to attend Big Games.

So its with a glint in my eye " as Gangstas do" I did the call up as I drove down the road. Just checking to see if my boyz are on the road. This time I drove down alone..ahh yes the blissful sound of Bmans "hip' collection gently flowing through the car. A quick call to Riv, Dalt and other Gangstas..Yup all on the road and going to meet in BC or Balclutha to the Northern boyz for brekkie.

more treesIf the forecasters on the Tv could have got the weather any further wrong it would have been right. They said Rain..we had Sun. So its all good ,great driving. I hit Clutha under a cloud of thick fog..It sat above the township like a blob of cream on pavlova . Either way pulled into the road side cafe...As to be one of the best places to stop when you need something to eat on the way to shoot some ball. The Bman selected a potpourri of food..a sumptuious feast to feed a king..oh and the others did too;) .

Well fed and well watered it was back in the cars..Almost as we were pulling away..the Brick pulled in with Spinnerz, Russ and Gibbo. So we had the usual grunts at each other and off we went...Off to Invers..To boost thier economy.

Now knowing this time Invers would be boosted with players due to Marty and Naps chasing the club guys up..I felt good knowing more ppl to play ball with.

Of course taking all the guys down is always for me a task and a half..If its not Dalton forgetting his sleeping bag??..Its the Hilly Billy gal at the Camp ground giving us all the keys to the units and saying try these..Finding out of course that a few rooms had ppl already in the them. Now I had booked the rooms and it was even written in the book as we looked at it..Well she was from down there and her sister as she put it "was away getting booze"..dont ya lovem.

Anyway...pulled into the Field..as yet no Banjoes in sight.but I did see a 4'13" guy running around Uphillwith a Mag. The usual handshakes with mates and time to gear up.. I took my fillstation over for both propellants.. The guys proceeded to fill up as Scruff screamed in and out the Field in the Car in search of Paintballs. So eventually we had Players, Air and Paint..and Dalton.

I put most the games in the same catergory..
Except for the last trench game.
But I will get around to that soon.

Dalton or Gangsta D or Killa D as he wishes to be called has anew shoota..He played with it till it smoked flames from the barrel. He shot more paint at the tin shed than all of the Invers boyz I think.

We played on the Hi chi Minh trail..the usual result.
Saturday night came with the boyz drinking wildly like Gangstas do..Ahhh yes then came the BIG SCENARIO DALTON STYLE...Dalton

being put to bed..to many fizzy drinks for him I believe..

We had Rab playing his Gat with Tigga joining in on his 6string..Hells bells I thought this is
Foxholegetting very scary..Not a Hill Billy in sight and stringed music happening in a Giggle motor camp.

I sampled the elixiar of life ...made by the God of Bourbon..James Beam. Oh the fun we had.
Now as sad as it is..The boys all tucked up by 10pm at the latest.

Sunday morn ..Maccas and Paintball. As I said the highlight for me was the last game. The trenches..Hillbillies in dem trenches..Gangsta B and his Hoodies setting a plan. I had decided this time things were going to change when attacking the trenches.

We were to advance to within firing range and justkeep out of the range of them..hiding behind trees till the word came. On the call "Tequilla" we counted 3 then all let rip. It came with a bang to the guys in the Trenches. It was awesome...14 shootas offloading BULK PAINT in 30secs..Truly a sight to behold. I saw my boys storm the trenches.saw the Hilly Billys heading up country and I reckon they are still running;) I know we all have our best parts of the weekend..to me that was it.
Ref & Scruff
Im glad the Invercargill guys who hadnt played with a large group before took the opportunity to play..I appreciated all the guys turning up..Makes no diff some had rentals..its all about playing the game. I packed my gear away and headed back up the road to Dunedin..Good to play ball in the South. No Fuss , No BS ..just playing the game.
