You got to look baddass...

One thing that really bugs the shit out of me in paintball is the tyre kicker fuckers who don’t dress properly or don’t do basic things such as camouflage bright, white or shiny things. Basic camouflage is about concealing yourself and your gear. Wearing white sneakers or a white t-shirt under a partially undone camo shirt doesn’t help. Having a white hopper lid showing for all to see or even worse having a white or clear hopper with bright coloured paint. Come on dudes, this shit stands out a mile away.

The thing that really gets me fucked off is any player who doesn’t wear matching camouflage. Don’t look like a fucking thrift store. Make sure your camo shirt or jacket matches your camo pants. Now there is two exceptions to this rule.

One: Looking like a Private Military Contractor (PMC). These guys who work in Iraq and A-stan wear camo pants, or military looking gear. Often the colour schemes don’t match.

Utilities up front Two: Looking like a Special Forces or Special Operations soldier. These guys don’t look much like your general line units. SF can paint their guns while line units can’t. SF can look like a band of gypsies (as one Para described the SAS in the Falklands war right before these gypsies shot down a Argentine Skyhawk with a Stinger SAM.) SF often wear a mix of camo and civilian clothing and equipment.

So unless you fall in either of these two categories find some camo that matches.

As for guns and equipment. Why make yourself seen and heard?

Skin is seen miles away, four things you need to stop this.
  1. Gloves to cover your hands.
  2. Goggle skinz to cover your lens.
  3. A dish-dash to drape around your head,/neck area.
  4. And where can one be without poser cam. British army camo netting, often called Scrim. Any true bushballer has some of this floating around their gear bags.
Matching camoAs for vests, webbing or combat rigs. I don’t suggest the made for paintball 4+1 etc these have never had me hard. Something like a M-4 combat vest or other military styled vest is top notch. Military webbing, ALICE, PLCE etc is good and some of the SADF or IDF rigs can’t be beat. But these rigs all have one thing in common, the ammo is to the front or sides, never the back like 4+1s. Military rigs have space for tools, heaps of ammo, radios, and all sorts of things you will need in battle. A 4+1 has four pods and a gastank. No room for the shit you need to fight.

Just putting a camo shirt on is never enough, spending the time and money on looking like Kin.
